It’s all change at Malcolm Klose’s North Wales roastery. Since moving across the courtyard to a roomier spot in summer 2018, Heartland has been able to open its doors to the coffee curious.
Installing a chunky 45kg Coffee-Tech Ghibli to meet increasing demand, and introducing a mezzanine-level coffee shop in which customers can sip the home-bronzed bounty, Heartland’s fresh set-up has cemented the roastery’s reputation as one of the major players on the northern scene.
‘Public tasting and training events are also in the pipeline’
Beans landing at the Llandudno site are sourced from farms across the coffee growing belt, with exclusive micro lots from Honduras, Colombia and Peru, plus a particularly special natural from Los Nogales in El Salvador.
You’ll find Heartland beans at coffee shops throughout North Wales and beyond, though we’d recommend dropping by the new gaff for an invigorating nitro cold brew and a natter with the enthusiastic crew. Public tasting and training events are also in the pipeline – watch this space.
